Woodland, Washington may only have a population of around 6,000 people, but this town, nestled along the Washington and Oregon border, is the perfect hometown for exploring much of the Pacific Northwest’s gems. It’s close to Portland, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington, but far enough to save that small-town feeling. Surrounded by state parks along the Columbia, Woodland creates a peaceful setting to raise a family.

Woodland and the surrounding towns such as Vancouver are close enough to Portland to have a nice afternoon at the Oregon Zoo, Saturday Market, or Powell Books. Also, close enough for day trips to many hiking trails and ski slopes to keep the entire family busy.
